The unit of P.Y.P.A. of IPC Bethel started in the year 1995 and the first meeting was held at the residence of Pastor Gerzim P John. The meeting was presided by Pastor Raju Poovakala and had a gathering of less than twenty people.
Over the years God has blessed this unit of PYPA and has grown in numbers . It’s a source of encouragement to many young & old people ( there is no age bar ), all born again believers are members of the PYPA unit in IPC Bethel , Dubai.
Every year during the General Body held during the month of January a committee is elected and the activities for each year are decided. The following activities are being conducted on behalf of PYPA during the last years:-
Regular Meetings
PYPA ( Bethel Unit ) conduct their regular meeting after the worship meeting of the last Friday every month . The motive of the programs being conducted is to encourage the talents of PYPA members. We have members participating in different programs like Bible reference, Bible quiz, Speech , Imagination , Character Study, Musical Programmes, and Group Discussions. More than 200 members are gathering in each meeting.
Charitable Works & Missionary Support
Every year PYPA (Bethel Unit) provides financial support for the education and marriage aid of needy families from various applications received from the local churches in India. These funds are raised by the voluntary contribution of the church PYPA members. Apart from charitable works PYPA (Bethel Unit) provides financial support for various missionary organizations in India.
BIBLE STUDY
Each year during the Eid Holidays PYPA (Bethel Unit) conducts a Bible study for two to three weeks. Reputed servants of God from India take classes on doctrinal subjects pre decided by the church. During the past years Pr. M.V.Chacko, Pr. A. M. Samuel, Pr. V.O Varghese, Pr Finny Samuel and Pr. Jose Philip had taken Bible Classes.
BETHEL VOICE
Since 2004, PYPA (Bethel Unit) started the publication of Bethel Voice. This was initially quarterly publication and the contents for the same were only by literary contributions of the PYPA (Bethel Unit) members.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Other Activities of PYPA (Bethel Unit) include house visits, camp visits, outings (conducting one PYPA Meeting at outdoors / parks), and yearly anniversary. |
